&lt;p&gt;Sounds to me like your config is bad, as it it &lt;em&gt;should&lt;/em&gt; work. :-)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Normally, I put the server information in the SIP configuration section and the user information in the registration section.&lt;/p&gt;

		<description>&lt;p&gt;hi, is a network required to get the phoen registered to * in terms of using tftp/ftp server to get config files from?
I tried to set setting for ip 500 in through the webbrowser by setting register to user/pass of * server and sip server to my * server.
there is never any register, i see nothing from sip debug.  Not sure if I have to be getting special config files from tftp or something, any help appreciated.&lt;/p&gt;
