I installed Distribute and have the new Mac OS X Developer Tools but don't know how to proceed from there. I am trying to install the GoogleCL so I can interact with my Google Calendar from the command line but I get the same error as you have above. Any thoughts?

The system easy_install is not in /usr/local, it's /usr/bin. There are zero OSX components in /usr/local unless installed by a user. You (or other code you installed) installed that one. Presumably you removed (or updated) the setuptools associated with that script (or updated Python versions), and the setuptools install (by default /Library/Python/X.Y/site-packages) is either missing or a different version.

Yeah, that's a problem. Under Mac OS X I'm able to force specific domains by putting a file into /etc/resolver/.

Hum. Just figured out today that when you have mDNS set up, you can't resolve .local by any other means than using mDNS. In our particular instance, someone set up our Windows AD server to name our internal network with .local in the end, so I tried to configure our internal development DNS server to use .local as well and this did not work.

It goes hosts => mdns_minimal => mdns => dns.

But .local addresses will stop at mdns_minimal no matter what. Never goes to dns.

OMG I have been looking for a charger that do 1/2 the functions the Maha PowerEx C9000 WizardOne charger will do forever. It is awesome, I just ordered 3 of the from Pauls with batteries. Both types LSD and reg. I still like the 2700mhA batteries for thing I use regularly so the batteries never sit around. The 2100 LSD are excellent for TV remotes or other low drain devices.
